We’re going to provide a series of in-person workshops, peer-to-peer networking and bespoke one-to-one support for fast growing and ambitious businesses.

What is Net Zero Barnsley?

Net Zero Barnsley is a project of free and intensive support to be delivered over the next 22 months from The Business Village, The Home of Net Zero. It is designed exclusively for 48 innovative businesses and organisations in the Barnsley area who have high-impact potential for contributing to the UK’s Net Zero carbon emission targets.

One-to-one coaching

Businessees received bespoke one-to-one support and advice from a dedicated business coach.

In-person workshops

Business owners attended free tailored workshops giving them the latest expert insights and enabling them to take action.

Peer-to-peer Networks

Collaborate with like-minded groups of 12 inspirational business leaders in Barnsley.

Net Zero Barnsley is part of the Low Carbon Project, a project part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Sheffield City Council is the accountable body for the South Yorkshire region. The Low Carbon project has received £3,445,606 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK, investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.     You’ll get introduced to a Cohort Facilitator, learning how to make the most of Net Zero Barnsley and allowing you to evaluate your business growth and innovation aspirations.

  2. 2. Innovation Support

    We’ll help you to build an action plan and execute your Net Zero priorities.

  3. 3. Group Training Sessions + Peer Group

    You’ll get opportunities to attend comprehensive workshops alongside your peers to gain insights, identify roadblocks, evaluate opportunities and share best practice. Learn, share, grow!

  4. 4. Innovation Coaching

    All support is tailored to your industry and the support your business requires, work one-to-one with a dedicated Net Zero business coach to fast-track your results.

  5. 5. Stay on Track

    Attend a review meeting with your Local Growth Manager and the cohort facilitator. Discuss what’s next for the business and how we can help.
