See how Diane Lawson and her team at Northern College on the outskirts of Barnsley have embraced the challenges of working towards their Net Zero ambition.
The team are working on the creation of a road map, an audit of energy providers to combat the recent hike in energy prices to help with achieving their own target of an 80% cardon reduction reduction by 2040, and offsetting some of their carbon footprint with extensive tree planting projects on site.
As Diane says, “We’ve got this team around us, supporting us to do something that actually we already wanted to do. The college is holding hands with somebody who’s a great partner and we’re very fortunate!”
